I’m here with your first real estate market update of 2020. Right now, our phones are ringing off the hook like crazy; it’s a huge rush from the people we talked with back in November who told us they wanted to wait to make real estate moves until after the holidays.
That being said, it’ll only get busier in spring and summer. If you list right now, you’ll have an advantage over everyone else who waits until March or April. There is high demand and little inventory.

2019 finished strong for our team, and also for the Columbia market in general. We still saw gains in appreciation, and prices have steadily gone up (the average sale price in our area was $200,000). It’s very much a seller’s market still.
Heading forward, we see some encouraging signs in the form of a healthy economy and low interest rates. We just need more inventory. There are buyers out there that simply can’t find what they’re looking for, so if you’re even considering selling your house, we’d love for you to contact us.
